Unfortunately for all AAS users, simply increasing the testosterone levels in the blood could not mimic this important activity for human race to continue. Thus, AAS administration will shut down the natural production of testosterone, slow down and end up preventing the production and maturation of sperm cells. Infertility occurs as a direct side effect of AAS use.
How do HMG works?
HMG works similarly with HCG wherein it stimulates the Leydig cells to naturally produce testosterone thereby restoring fertility. What makes HMG unique and more desirable is the fact that it contains the actual, natural LH instead of just mimicking its actions. More importantly, it contains purified FSH. It has both these crucial hormones thereby enabling its users to naturally produce testosterone from the Leydig cells. In the end, HMG is able to promote maturation and production of sperm cells. Is HMG effective?
Despite the lack of clinical trials to evaluate the efficiency of HMG, anecdotal evidence show that it is effective in restoring fertility, natural testosterone levels and normal spermatogenesis. Research has shown that injecting yourself with HMG three times a week with a recommended dose of 75 IU to 150 IU is enough to receive its beneficial effects. Experts however recommend to use 75 IU every 2 days for optimal effects. It has not been proven that higher dosage intake can improve the efficiency of HMG.
