Nefiracetam was first developed and tested as a beneficial supplement for Alzheimerís disease, epilepsy and dementia. Many studies quickly found that Nefiracetam possessed some strong nootropic benefits including improved memory, cognition, mood and even neuroprotective properties. Some of the main effects of Nefiracetam have been shown to be similar and comparable to those of Aniracetam and Pramiracetam, but with a higher potency and efficacy.
Take 1 Ė 3 tablets daily as required.
Our Nefiracetam comes in 500mg tablets. It is recommended to begin taking Nefiracetam at a smaller dose and gradually work your way up if required. Our tablets are precisely weighed and professionally pressed.
Nefiracetam is an ant-amnesic and anti-convulsant compound with various potent nootropic properties mediated by its action upon the cerebral levels of acetylcholine. High levels of acetylcholine have been shown to improve memory and recall as well as help those recovering from neurodegenerative diseases and chemically induced amnesia. Nefiracetam potentiates N-Methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) which may explain its action upon the increase of Long Term Potentiation (LTP). LTP is the neurological phenomenon of increasing neuronal firing between neurons and may explain some aspects of neuronal plasticity.
Has been shown to attenuate induced seizures in rat studies as well as protect against neuronal cell death caused by veratridine and glutamate. These finding imply that Nefiracetam acts as a neuroprotectant and could possible prevent the further onset of some neurodegenerative diseases.
Has been shown to benefit those with serious depression and those suffering from apathy after stroke.
Due to its similar mechanism of action to other racetams, an increase in spatial memory has been shown. Further studies found a release of glutamate showing Nefiracetam may increase wakefulness and alertness, leading to an increase in cognitive performance.
Research has shown an enhancement of cerebral blood flow which has been shown to improve many aspects of mental performance.
How Does Nefiracetam Work?
Those taking Nefiracetam have been found to experience anti-amnesic effects due to enhancement of cholinergic, GABAergic and monoaminergic neuronal systems. Nefiracetam has been implicated in the standard mechanism of racetams which is thought of as positive modulators of the AMPA receptor and general enhancers of acetylcholine. Nefiracetamís improvements in memory, learning and attention are mediated through CaMKII activation, with LTP properties mediated by stimulation of the NMDA-receptorís glycine binding site. General stimulation has been shown through the release of glutamate. Anti-depressant and anti-apathy properties may be caused via CREB phosphorylation.
