Aniracetam has been introduced in the late 1970s as a drug supplement that is able to fuel the AMPA receptors of the brain. It was initially developed by pharmaceutical company Hoffman-La Roche as a more potent nootropic for piracetam. Animal studies have shown that this particular nootropic agent is able to effectively and safely treat emotional problems, cognitive disorders, some behavioral problems as well as sleep disturbances. To study the effects of aniracetam, it was administered to elderly patients diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease and diffused Levy body disease. After aniracetam treatment, findings have shown that visual hallucination amongst these individuals has significantly improved. More importantly, there were no adverse effects associated with the treatment even after administering high doses of aniracetam.

Progressive supranuclear palsy treatment

 Progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP) is a degenerative disorder characterized by parkinsonism, nuchal dystopia, vertical gaze palsy and dementa. Treatment includes noradrenaline precursors, tricyclic antidepressants, levodopa, anti-cholinergic agents and droid opt.
